Welcome to the Timebank Plus April Newsletter

April is a great time to get out and get growing. We are currently have a vacancy for a paid Gardening Team Leader, to work with a small group of volunteers assisting local people who need occasional help with their gardens or veg plots. The Gardening sessions take place one morning a week, currently on a Tuesday, and the Team Leader receives payment of £60 per session. Please contact us for further details.

This is also a fantastic time of year to join us on our beautiful allotment at Bath City Farm. Louise and the volunteer group have been giving the allotment a great makeover and we now need more people to help with veg growing and other tasks on the site. It’s a wonderful opportunity to improve or share your growing skills and to work with others to grow your own fruit and veg.

Our allotment is a beautiful plot on Bath City Farm, where participants can grow fruit, veggies, herbs and flowers and take a share of the produce. Each week we do a short writing exercise during the session and then take a look at short stories or poems which members of the group have posted up during the week.

If you are interested in joining the group, please email us for the Zoom link and the link to the Writing Forum.

The guitar sessions are a lot of fun, with a good size group and guidance from Nick, the facilitator. Anyone who is able to play a short list of simple chords is able to join and there are occasional opportunities to perform. Music is emailed to members via Dropbox, so that you have the opportunity to print it out and practise at home.
